PSA Genova Pra’, located in the Port area of Pra’, is the largest terminal reality in the Port of Genova and in the upper Tyrrhenian Sea, alone it handles 60% of the containerised traffic of the entire Port of Genova.
Like the PSA VECON terminal in Venice, PSA Genova Pra’ is part of PSA International Group with flagship operations at Singapore and Antwerp, which, in a process of continuous evolution and expansion, consists of over 30 container terminals in 19 countries around the world.
The PSA Group is present with port projects in Asia, Europe and America. PSA Genova Pra’ is part of the EUROPE, MEDITERRANEAN AND THE AMERICAS - EM&A Region - whose leader is PSA Antwerp.
The PSA International Group is also present in 13 inland rail terminals distributed between China and Canada. The port of Pra’ is a point of reference in the context of international maritime routes and, thanks to an extensive rail and motorway network, it is a hub of primary importance for Italian as well as central and southern European markets.
Since 6 August 2020, the Belgian company PSA Genoa Investments NV (62% owned by PSA) has acquired control of the two historic terminal companies, i.e. PSA Genova Pra’ S.p.A. ("PSA GP", formerly known as VTE) and Terminal Contenitori Porto di Genova S.p.A. ("PSA SECH", formerly known as SECH) in order to implement the necessary synergy to consolidate PSA’s national leadership in the upper Tyrrhenian Sea.
